The Recurse Center is a self-directed retreat for programmers where you can spend six or twelve weeks working on whatever interests you most, surrounded by curious and kind people doing the same. I did two back-to-back batches. I went in wanting to rediscover what I loved about programming, and I left having built something that brings joy to a community I care about and hope to be part of for the rest of my life. 所以在文化上，我觉得这种影响根深蒂固。比世界上任何其他国家都更甚的是，韩国人接受了这样一种设定：去模仿主导性的文化力量，即美国。而当你进行这种模仿时，你就必须放弃你可能拥有的任何本土趣味和风味。你必须改用另一种腔调说话，你必须用那个主导国家美国的语言去歌唱，你必须遵循那个国家的文化惯例。这种行为模式不是一夜之间发生的。我认为是经过了日据时期的“训练”，才让韩国人养成了一直观察并模仿强者行为的习惯。
